Medusa speedies-Eric Chiang
I liked the way things went with my Jason thumbs so I approached Medusa in the same fashion. These concepts are very rough need a lot of refinement. I wanted to try something unconventional so I used a cobra hood on a couple of the sketches. Not sure if it works...I think it makes her look egyptian. Let me know what you guys think. Peace~CIRE

City Oasis...by Stephen
This was just a quick couple hour painting to do a generic futuristic city, I did about month ago. It was originally supposed to be a elevated structure made to be a oasis in the middle of a hong kong, NY city type of busy environment. -Stephen Chang

CW2007 Time Machine Final - by Eric Ryan
Here it is. It was fun to do a tech piece. The vague story is that this is a military machine that has large disc screens that rememble clocks which allow it to travel in bewteen time matrices. The discs conduct electricity and create a magnetic flux powerful enough to warp the physical structure of the machine and taking it to designated time dimensions. It is not a fast vehicle, just a special one. It is a reconnaissance class vehicle.
Let me know what you think!

small paintover Eric's ship - James Paick
i thought i would contribute a little of my thoughts on it....
i think you have a great base and many of the forms and shapes are great. WIthout getting into all the things that make it work, all i think it really needs to some more attention to the lighting. Hitting some areas with hot spots, accentuating areas of color and light ie. the boosters and lighting. I think it could aslo use some reinforced silohuette value as well.
Cheers for a great peice in the works.
my 2 cents-
JP

Jason Touch Up
K here is the touch up i did. i hope this helps and forgive me if i pointed out something you are already aware of, as i know its still a WIP. the idea's that i wanted to point out were to make him feel like a hero through posing and anatomy as well as give, even a static pose, some weight and motion. let me know if this helps at all. you could take all of this a step further and give him an action pose but sometimes it is more interesting to be subtle. - Eric Ryan
Crap! i managed to save the psd as a jpeg without all of the other layers turned on... damn. so now you will have to just read what i wrote and i hope that's enough. sorry man. i'm gonna go kick myself in the nuts. :(

Jason WIP
Heres the WIP for Jason. At this point Im just blocking things in. Im not too happy with where Im at. My plan is to paint him "naked" and then do costume variations on top. James encouraged me to suggest some type of background...not sure if its working. I am breaking new ground here, but I am struggling a bit. You guys have any suggestions? My bad for not posting a WIP of the shape yet...will post that up soon. Help!!

Time Machine - by Eric Ryan
Here is my WIP post based on the abstract shape I created last week. It's not done by any means but feel free to comment. I plan on fixing colors, lighting and adding more atmosphere like rain and lighting. By the way this is the first tech piece I've done in a probably years. It's been too long :P

Character update - James Paick
Finally got some time this weekend to work and rework areas of this dude man. I plan to take this much further with more rendering, texture and materials...while keeping some areas painterly....
